About the Event
Week 1-2: Referee Training
Fundamentals of Officiating: Participants begin with an introduction to the basics of being a basketball referee. This includes understanding the rules of the game, the responsibilities of a referee, and the importance of fair play and integrity.
Practical Sessions: Through on-court drills and simulated games, participants practice making calls, managing game flow, and handling on-court conflicts. Experienced referees provide mentorship and feedback.
Certification Preparation: The training includes preparation for any necessary certification exams, ensuring participants are ready to officiate official games by the end of the program.
Week 3: CPR Training
Basic Life Support (BLS): Participants undergo comprehensive CPR training, learning essential life-saving techniques such as chest compressions, rescue breaths, and the use of automated external defibrillators (AEDs).
