The 11th Annual AI 3 Leadership Academy Camp, founded by professional basketball player Anthony Ireland, is a transformative summer program held in Waterbury, Connecticut. This camp is designed to empower and inspire young athletes in the community through a unique blend of sports training, leadership development, and personal growth opportunities.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
AI 3 Academy Camps & Clinics are more than just a sports camp; they is a comprehensive developmental experience that aims to nurture the next generation of leaders, both on and off the court. Over the course of the camps & clinics, participants will engage in:

Basketball Skills Training:
Led by experienced coaches and athletes, campers receive top-tier instruction in basketball fundamentals, advanced techniques, and game strategies. The focus is on improving individual skills, teamwork, and overall athletic performance.

In addition to athletic training, the camp includes interactive workshops focused on leadership development. Winsted AI3 Leadership Academy Camp (3-Day Clinic)
The AI3 Leadership Academy is excited to partner with the Town of Winsted Parks and Recreation to bring its proven basketball and leadership curriculum to the community through a high-impact three-day clinic. This camp is designed to provide young athletes with access to elite-level basketball training while emphasizing mentorship, confidence-building, and personal development. Participants will engage in skill development sessions, competitive gameplay, and leadership-based activities that extend beyond the court.
Led under the vision and curriculum developed by Anthony Ireland, this program mirrors the same structure and standards as our flagship Waterbury camps.
Athletes will be supported by a strong staff that includes former Gilbert High School basketball players who serve as coaches and mentors, helping create a relatable and inspiring environment for all participants.
This clinic serves as a platform for youth in the Winsted community to develop their skills, build relationships, and grow as both athletes and individuals in a positive, structured setting.

Stonington AI3 Leadership Academy Camp (5-Day Experience)
The AI3 Leadership Academy is proud to partner with the Stonington Community Center (COMO) to deliver a dynamic five-day camp experience that blends basketball training, leadership development, and real-world exposure. This comprehensive program provides youth with an opportunity to sharpen their basketball skills while engaging in mentorship, teamwork, and character-building activities throughout the week.
In addition to on-court development, participants will take part in a college exposure field trip to either Bryant University or the University of Rhode Island,
giving them firsthand insight into the student-athlete experience and the importance of higher education. The camp also features guest speakers and counselors who have played collegiately and professionally, offering valuable perspective, guidance, and inspiration to all participants.
Utilizing the same curriculum developed and led by Anthony Ireland at our flagship Waterbury camps, this program is built on intentional skill work, leadership training, and meaningful engagement. The Stonington camp creates an environment where athletes are empowered to grow both on and off the court.
